What is the difference between protos and calcs?

Postby quincy » 15 Jul 2014, 20:30

Hi,

is there a significant difference between the libraries finaquant protos and calcs, apart from the license type (non-commercial vs commercial)?

Hi,

Both Finaquant Protos and Finaquant Calcs are .NET (dot net) libraries with Table Valued Functions, but the commercial library Finaquant Calcs has some additional features:

Calculation Nodes & Networks to configure modular, scalable and extendable Calculation Engine which has the ability to store multiple instances of a calculation method (f.e. versions of the same calculation with different dates, or with different set of input tables etc.)

Besides, the non-commercial library Finaquant Protos comes with a restricted table size ( max 20'000 rows in the current release 1.07). You may consider buying a permanent user license for Finaquant Calcs for unlimited table size.
